Andrew Mallett. Writer and author of Vistaphobia, Andy has many years of experience in IT. He cut his teeth in network administration as Manager for Information Systems for the Department of Psychiatry in Sydney and later technically administered a national project as a Team Leader at Compaq Computers in New South Wales.

With a background which includes administering Novell, Windows, Linux and Unix networks, Andy has set his sights on helping users get to grips with Microsoft Windows.

Andy is also a Registered Nurse of some vintage and lectures in Nursing at universities and polytechnics. His work includes the development of simulated training environments, including computer controlled mannequins used for training nursing and medical students and other clinical staff. He maintains a number of websites, including (Unix), (Windows7) and the offbeat Tech Page (mostly Windows and Networking).
